Sports
Geography and weather make these islands the perfect place for the practice of many sports. Tourism has contributed to the development of sport installations. Below is a list of the most popular sports. In each island section you will find more detailed information.

GOLF
Golf lovers can practice their favorite sport in Antigua, Aruba, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Curacao, Grenada, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Martin, US Virgin Islands,
St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Guadeloupe and Martinique.
Guadeloupe, Martinique, Nevis and the US Virgin Islands have 18 holes golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones. The British Virgin Islands have two small courses, and Aruba has one of the most peculiar courses of the world.

BIRD WATCHING
Trinidad & Tobago are famous because of the diversity of birds species. These and another islands have tours to watch birds..

OFFSHORE FISHING
Fishing is one of the most popular sports in the Caribbean. At the islands, you can rent fishing boats for a day, or even for half day. The rent price usually includes food, drinks, appetizers, baits, fishhooks, helms and all fishing material needed.

TREKKING AND HORSE RIDE EXCURSIONS
Mountains, tropical jungles, falls and amazing views are waiting for you. Most of the islands have national parks whose paths will delight trekking lovers. The best national parks are in Dominica, Guadeloupe, Grenada, St. Kitts, and St. John in the US Virgin Islands. The Pitons, the twin mountains of St. Lucia, will test the ability of the most experienced climbers. Most of the excursions can be made with a guide. TENNIS
Every island has tennis courts. Almost every court is part of a resort, although you can rent them without being a host. Some islands have private clubs open for visitors, besides some public courts. The islands where tennis is more popular offer tennis classes and they rent the necessary equipment. Many hotels have professional trainers.

WINDSURF AND BOATS
Navigation lovers have a large variety of boats for rent, the ones called “moon fish”, yachts with two topmasts, and big motor launches. Most of the islands have water sports centers organizing training for all levels, and where you can rent the equipment.

Scuba diving and snorkeling
Under the blue and clear water of the Caribbean Sea beautiful scenarios are hidden, a world that can only be reached by submarines and scuba divers, and in which colorful fishes swim between the extraordinary coral reefs.
At all the islands are submarine centers renting equipment to practice this sport, besides organizing immersions and training for beginners.
In each island section you will find the addresses of some of the best centers, but we recommend you to ask instructors for their certificates. The following islands are famous for their great submarine places:

Most of the hotels will provide you with the necessary equipment to practice snorkeling. The list of the best islands for submarines can be applied for snorkeling too. But, even though, an island isn’t mentioned in this list, it is very probable that you will be amazed with the wonderful marine life you will see. Don’t forget to ask the hotel employees, which know the best parts of the island to practice snorkel.

Don’t forget always to wear a T-shirt while you dive, so you protect your back from sun burning.
